Rooted in Sambhal

A living tradition of learning.

Founded by Shamsul Ulama Hazrat Maulana Khaleel Ahmad Israili, the institution brings classical Islamic learning together with the intellectual and ethical formation of every student.

Its educational work spans Qur'an memorisation and Tajweed, Dars-e-Nizami, Arabic language, girls’ education and foundational schooling. The wider mission extends beyond classrooms through religious guidance, community welfare and peace-building.

The institution’s story is connected with the teaching legacy of Abu Ishaque Abul Aja'ib Shah Muhammad Hilali and the learned culture of Hilali Sarai.

Formal foundation

Shamsul Ulama Hazrat Maulana Khaleel Ahmad Israili formally established Siraj-ul-Uloom as a centre for Islamic and Arabic education.
